See the Results of Your Support More than 90 percent of Easter Seals’ revenue supports services in the area where funds are raised. The total public support and revenue was $1,037,886,000. The comparable number for 2005 and 2004 was $863,258,000 and $698,933,000, respectively. During the fiscal year ended August 31, 2006, Easter Seals’ programs assisted 1.2 million individuals with disabilities and their families through programs and services, such as:
Adult and senior service programs include 50 locations nationwide with adult day services, assisted and supported living programs and in-home care designed to address the growing needs of adults with disabilities, older adults and their family. The Easter Seals camping and recreation programs nationwide, include day camps, recreation programs and residential camping for children with disabilities, children with autism, and adults with disabilities. Job training and employment programs provide evaluation and assessment, work adjustment/employee development, job placement, employment planning occupational skills training, school-to-work transitions and assistive technologies for community-based and support employment. 210 Easter Seals medical rehabilitation programs for children and adults, offering physical occupational therapy services, speech-language and audiology, outpatient medical rehabilitation, social work, nursing, rehabilitation engineering, recreational therapy and support services. |
